Manage Your Listings

Edit, update, and maintain your products to keep them relevant and competitive.

Publishing a product is just the beginning. The most successful sellers on WebsiteFair treat their listings as living products — regularly updating files, responding to buyer questions, and refining descriptions based on feedback.

Updating Your Product Files

When you release a new version of your product, navigate to Dashboard → My Items, select the listing, and upload the new ZIP file. Buyers who previously purchased your item will automatically have access to the latest version at no extra cost.

  • Version changelog: Always include a changelog entry describing what changed. Buyers appreciate transparency.
  • Backward compatibility: If a major update breaks existing implementations, provide a migration guide in your documentation.

Responding to Buyer Questions

Buyers can leave questions on your product page. Responding promptly and helpfully directly impacts your conversion rate — unanswered questions are one of the top reasons potential buyers abandon a listing.

Pausing or Removing a Listing

If you need to temporarily take a product offline for a major update, you can set its status to Paused from your dashboard. Paused items are hidden from search but existing buyers retain download access. Deleting a listing is permanent and should only be done if you are discontinuing the product entirely.

💡 Pro Tip

Products that receive an update within the last 30 days are tagged Recently Updated in search results — giving them a significant visibility boost over stale listings.
